Design-time JavaFX: everyone can appreciate the technical aspects of the JavaFX platform, the Scene Graph, the UI components, cascading-styling philosophies, and the media components. The latter components make JavaFX, the rich client, a capable foundation for user interaction that competes with other platforms. What about the design-side and user interface of JavaFX in particular design interaction patterns? The standard JavaFX components have already established common UI design patterns, which have been proven correct since the early 1980s. Times have changed, and ideas have moved on.
